Infant Health Outcomes
Understanding infant health complications is crucial for reducing infant mortality and enhancing
lifelong health outcomes. Low birth weight (LBW), premature births, and Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU) admissions are key indicators of both early childhood and long-term health. This data,
covering all live births in the Georgia All-Payer Claims Database (GA APCD) from 2018 to
2022, focuses on infants experiencing at least one of these conditions.
